For sleep apnea patient, CPAP machines are like a lifeline. That’s why it is important to carefully decide on the best machine for your needs before purchasing one.

What are the different types of CPAP Machines?

Below is a summary of the different types of CPAP machines:

  1. Full-Face Mask/Nasal Mask

Those who tend to suffer from snoring or other sleep disorders can solve their problems using these devices. A full-face mask provides complete coverage, while a nasal mask allows users to breathe through their nose. The only major problem is that full face masks don’t provide any relief for the mouth. These include fixed and power, electric and battery CPAP machine solutions.

  1. BiPAP Machine

The BiPAP machine is mostly used by those who have sleep apnea, and this type of machines can be adjusted according to the user’s needs. This type of machine has two main parts: one system that uses two main parts, the mask and the tube.

  1. IPAP Machine

This machine is mainly for those who have sleep apnea and snoring problems. This type of CPAP machines can be adjusted to provide optimal fit for users using an inflatable mask or an electric mask. The major problem with this type of cpap machines is that it has no auto-diagnosis system, so using this device isn’t recommended for first time users or those who suffer from other mouth problems like sore throat and sinusitis because these types of CPAP systems are made for specific diseases only.

  1. VPAP Machine

This type of CPAP machine is also used by those who suffer from sleep apnea problems alone or in combination with other conditions like arterial hypertension. These type of machines can be adjusted in accordance to the patient’s needs, but these are not recommended for use by those who suffer from mouth problems.
